On October 10, 2016, our beautiful daughter Lily Sheryll was born at a gestational age of just 31 weeks. Having been born exactly 2 months premature and in critical condition, Lily spent the next 10 weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Stony Brook University Children’s Hospital under constant 24-hour medical care. This was an extremely trying time for our family and my wife Brigitte Sheryll and I spent countless hours in the hospital at Lily’s side.
In our time of need, the local chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities, and its supporters and volunteers, provided our family (and countless others) with comfort and support. Whether it was a warm meal or a couch to sleep on, Ronald McDonald House Charities was there for us.
